These Asian Shredded Chicken Sliders are the perfect finger food paired with some chips and dip while gathering with with family and friends. The Asian flavor is a nice twist on traditional BBQ chicken or beef. The Cherry Coke used in the sauce counteracts beautifully with the Asian spices by adding a little sweetness. This is a simple recipe because it cooks up in your slow cooker without a lot of fuss. Add the chicken into the slow cooker and simply set it and forget it, then add the ingredients for the sauce 30 minutes before serving. Simple as that.
- 3 lbs Chicken Breast
- ½ Bottle Oyster Sauce
- ½ Bottle Hoisin Sauce
- 1 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1 tbsp Sriracha Sauce
- ½ tbsp Fresh Garlic
- 1 tbsp Fresh Ginger
- 1 tbsp Asian Spice
- ½ Can Cherry Coke
- For the chicken:
- Add a bit of water, place in crock on high for 4-6 hours.
- Drain the liquid and shred, then place back in slow cooker.
- For the sauce:
- Grate the fresh ginger.
- Combine all ingredients together and add into crock.
- Stir the mixture and let the chicken heat back up about 30 minutes before serving.
