If you’re hosting a summer party, you need to serve Mason Jar Cocktails. Sparkling Pomegranate Punch and Grapefruit Coolers are sure to be crowd pleasers and Mason Jars offer a convenient way to serve pre-mixed cocktails to a large group of people.
If you need a refreshing way to enjoy a cool beverage, don’t forget the Mason Jar! While Mason Jars and stripes are definitely trendy for outdoor entertaining, Mason Jars do offer a convenient way to serve pre-mixed cocktails to a large group of people. Whether you have a wedding, a family BBQ, or a simple summer party, consider crafting these Mason Jar Cocktails for your crowd. Add the ingredients to a Mason Jar, close it with the lid, and let sit in a cooler until ready to be served. Your guests will be pleased to have a specialty drink that is already made for them!
I prefer to use white rum or liqueurs (like pomegranate or triple sec) in my cocktails. The light flavor is never overpowering, and it’s the right combination for a fruity beverage. I was inspired for these two drinks by the summer season here in Florida. Whenever I head to a beachy bar, I always ask for their specialty cocktail or drink of the day. It’s usually a combination of rum, fruit juice, and a splash of fresh fruit. Served ice cold, it’s the best way to relax by the Gulf. For my two cocktails today, I used my favorite waterside drinks as inspiration to create these Mason Jar Cocktails.
My first cocktail recipe is for Sparkling Pomegranate Punch. A sprig of rosemary garnishes this perfectly ruby red drink. I added one part of sparkling raspberry seltzer water, one part fruit punch, and a shot of pomegranate liqueur. It’s a smooth summer drink that is both refreshing and simple. Garnish with raspberries for extra flavor, and a bit of rosemary for flair.
The next cocktail, a Grapefruit Cooler, is grapefruit juice, lemon lime seltzer water, and white rum. Add a strawberry for garnish and enjoy! This one is best served ice cold, and you could even add strawberry puree if you wanted it to be a bit more sweet.
Seltzer water is one of my favorite mixers since it’s usually low to no calorie, and it is not too sugary sweet. Sometimes my favorite cocktails have a flavor where you can only drink one since the sweetness is overpowering. Seltzer water, however, offers a bit of bubbly without all that sugar!
