Turkey Spaghetti Zoodles with Low Sodium Marinara
It is a new year and many of us are trying to eat healthier. There are many ways to change up our bad eating habits. One important change you should be making is to watch your sodium intake, both for weight and for health reasons. Making your own sauces like this Low Sodium Marinara Sauce or this Heart-Healthy BBQ Sauce is a great place to start! If you are feeling bloated and lethargic, too much salt can be part of the problem.
Another great idea is to start swapping out beef for turkey in your favorite recipes. Doing this swap is a simple way to lower saturated fat, calories, and also avoid the many health risks associated with red meat. If you’re aiming for low-fat, look for ground turkey in the 90/10 range.
If it’s your weight you are trying to watch and you feel like carbs are your enemies, Zoodles might be the answer. Zucchini noodles are a great zero-carb alternative to traditional pasta noodles. They are also a great way to incorporate vegetables in your diet, and they are gluten free, grain free, and wheat free.
If all of that sounds fantastic to you, we’re sure you’re going to love this recipe for Turkey Spaghetti with Low Sodium Marinara and Zoodles as much as we do!
