Tropical Wine Slushies are a refreshing tropical flavored summer cocktail made with white wine, frozen pineapple, mangos, and peaches. This unique drink gets a delightful flavor boost from tropical flavored soda!
Hello! This is Allison from Celebrating Sweets. I’m stopping by with a recipe to help you cool off this summer. Tropical Wine Slushies, anyone?
I hope your summer is off to a good start. We have been trying to find the right balance between planning activities and having some downtime. I have a two year old and a five year old, and with triple digit heat, I have to be careful not to over do it.
Since it’s blazing hot here in Arizona, I’ve been looking for new ways to beat the heat. I’ve come to the conclusion that all summer days should start with iced coffee and end with wine slushies. Sounds perfect, doesn’t it?
These tropical wine slushies are similar in consistency to a frozen margarita or daiquiri, and they’re made with only three ingredients – white wine, frozen fruit, and juice or soda. All you do is place the ingredients in your blender and give it a whirl.
I went with a tropical theme for these slushies. They’re filled with frozen mango, pineapple, and peaches, and sweetened just slightly with tropical soda. If you can’t find the soda, you could easily swap pineapple juice in the mix. And if you’re not into tropical flavors, you can try my Strawberry Sangria. It’s always a hit!
Use the white wine of your choice for these slushies. I prefer Sauvignon Blanc because it’s so light, but any white wine will work. Don’t feel the need to break open your most expensive bottle of wine for this recipe. Since you’re adding fruit and soda/juice, you can get away with using a less expensive variety of wine.
I hope you love these slushies as much as I did. Share them with someone special while you soak up some fabulous sunshine. Have a fantastic summer!
- 1 bottle chilled white wine
- 5 cups frozen fruit (I used a combination of pineapple, mango, and peaches)
- 1 cup tropical flavored soda or pineapple juice
- A handful of ice
- Place all ingredients in a blender and process until smooth. Add a little more ice, if you'd like it thicker.
